Dispensaries

There are no dispensaries in the state of Washington, but there are retailers who sell useable marijuana and other processed or concentrated marijuana products to qualifying patients or designated providers for medical use by patients age of 21 or above. Retailers can get their products from a processor. A marijuana processor is a person who is licensed by the state Liquor and Cannabis Board (LBC) to process marijuana into marijuana concentrates, useable marijuana, and marijuana-infused products obtained from a producer then packaged and labeled for sale in retail outlets. A producer would be the one licensed by the state LBC who cultivates marijuana and provide non-useables marijuana to processors.

The new law, which will take effect after July 1, 2016, enables retailers licensed by LBC to sell marijuana for whatever the purpose may be.
